Receive Text UpdatesCooking has been instrumental & foundational in my upbringing. My parents appreciated cuisine from local traditions to global flavors instilled in me a deep respect for food, dining & appreciating foods importance. Cooking was something I adored watching my grandmothers do since they were from 2 different places & did it so passionately. Food always left a lasting impression from the hands that prepared it, the ingredients it was sourced from & the story each dish tells.
What's your all time favorite dish to make? Our family always kept things non-traditional for the holidays. We would make “christmas cheesy chicken casserole” for something new. Over the years I have put my own spin on the family recipe using the freshest ingredients I could find to add crunch and texture. The dish includes chicken, cheese, pasta, mushrooms, water chestnuts, sautéed onion, yellow red and orange peppers, toasted slivered almonds, spicy canned tomatoes and a squeeze of lime and/or hot sauce to taste.
What would you do with the $25,000?As simple as it may seem… I would go to Europe for the first time-ever. I have always wanted to go explore eat my way through Italy. I would then pay off my debt after a recent divorce and reserve the rest for my children’s education. This $ could be an opportunity to change my life financially but having the opportunity to share the food I love with others is the way to my heart and soul.
