Gathering together with family and friends and watching their their facial expression when they try my food. It brings me satisfaction to know that they enjoy the food I cook with love and passion. To hear them ask you, "I need that recipe," is the best compliment I can receive. But what is inspiring to me as well is to see my mother and family get together in the kitchen and hear them talk about their mothers and fathers and their recipes they passed along. Tradition at its best.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?It depends on the occasion, but I enjoy cooking arroz con gandules y pollo guisado.
What would you do with the $25,000?I've always dreamed about starting up a catering business, actually create something different. Redefine my cooking skills by enrolling into a culinary school, Be a personal chef and bring the experience to everyday pepole homes. Create a lasting experience that family and friends can remember.
