Who or what inspires you to cook?

My mom always said that if you want to have delicious meals every night, you better learn to cook. So, I started cooking alongside her when I was young. She taught me the art of cooking that feed our family. She inspired me to experiment with new recipes and show hospitality to our friends and family.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

This is a tough one! As someone who loves to experiment and try new things, it really depends on the season. Right now, I’m really into soups. I’m using a mix of local veggies like kale, cabbage, rutabagas, beets, and carrots.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’m thrilled to be part of our local Farmers Market. I go around and buy fresh fruits and veggies from the farmers, and then I cook meals using them. I share the recipes and encourage other shoppers to try cooking the seasons. We call this "Taste of the Market" I'm blessed to do this as a way to promote local fresh foods. I’d love to expand this and offer more home meal replacements at no cost for our community.
