Who or what inspires you to cook?

My mom has always been my inspiration, her love for cooking was definitely passed down to me. There’s something special about sharing nourishing food with the people you love, and it’s a feeling I cherish every time I cook.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

One of my favorite dishes to prepare is rib-eye steak served over muhammara with roasted baby carrots. The rich, tender steak complements the smoky, spicy muhammara, while the roasted carrots add a subtle sweetness and balance to the dish.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, my husband and I would invest in opening Zaytun, a restaurant inspired by our combined cultures, fulfilling our long-held dream of owning our own space. Food has always connected us, and we want to create a place where people can gather, experience a warm, welcoming community, and share a bit of our love for cooking. We’d also love to treat our mothers on a much needed getaway as a token of our appreciation for their love and support.
