Receive Text UpdatesMy papa was the family chef. The kitchen was always the “party” zone. We would wax fondly on all the Puerto Rican dishes my father and aunts prepared. We gushed about yuca packets in the coals of the roasting pig and fought over who got the tail. We traded stories of cooking disasters and laughed and drank in embarrassment. My favorite was the cinnamon lamb story. I thought myself such a capable chef that I throw it with reckless abandon! It turned out like bark on a tree!
What's your all time favorite dish to make?Rice and pink beans Puerto Rican style and fried yuca. I also love all Mexican food. I make great chicken enchiladas and pico is my friend! Lately I have been inspired with vegan recipes. My latest recipe was deviled potatoes. I am making stuffed vegan portobellos for an upcoming wedding!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would rebuild the heart of my home, my aging kitchen.
