Receive Text UpdatesMy mom was my original inspiration for cooking at a very young age. I was and still am even more so fascinated with how many different flavors and ingredients you can combine to create something new. The art of plating and quality of ingredients, and most importantly seeing smiles on people’s faces when they eat good food.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?My all time favorite dish to cook would be pot roast. It hits home for me in so many ways. The entire process of cutting the mirepoix and searing the beef, waiting for hours as the house fills with the amazing smell, and finally digging into the tender beef. I love it because it’s a family meal as well, something a group shares and not just a single dish for one person. Absolutely my favorite comfort meal. Gumbo would be a close close second.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use some of the $25,000 to jumpstart my catering business. I want nothing more than to be able to serve and showcase my food to the community. I would also use it to help my mom, she has given me and my siblings so much and also takes care of her elderly mother and aunt who suffer from dementia. I would love to take my mom on a well deserved vacation and show her a fraction of the love she’s shown me.
