I enjoy learning about history, culture, & family. Among the best ways to do so is to learn about food, & share it with others.

Receive Text UpdatesMy family. My mother’s side is Belgian/Italian from NY. My grandma would make the best waffles, & my mom taught us to cook the lasagna that her grandma taught her. My father’s family is from TX, & between reunions & holidays, there’s been plenty to learn about southern & Texan cooking.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?I really like dishes that aren’t necessarily difficult, but are complex in their flavors. I often think about how similar my TX chili and NY/Italian ragu recipes are. If I had to pick just one, it would be our family lasagna. Our family research has shown it’s at least a century old recipe, & between the sauce, the meatballs, & the lasagna itself, it’s like a complex meal made of layers of two other complex flavors.
What would you do with the $25,000?Immediately, I’d payoff my student loans, but I’d still have plenty leftover. I’m about to start making travel & family history content, so this would go a long way towards being able to afford better equipment. I’d love to include plenty of food & culture content as well.
