Receive Text UpdatesI remember being wowed by food for the first time at avery young age by my grandmother's food. She would come from Switzerland to stay with us for a month or so during the summer when I was in elementary school. My parents both worked so she would do the cooking. Dijon mustard, olive oil and parsley could turn the simplest things into magic. Real butter and cheese weren't the stars of the show but created amazing dishes out of eggs, pasta or potatoes. She had me at gratin.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?Roast pork loin (might be stufffed - according to the season), potatoes (style TBD by the occassion - scalloped, roasted, layered, creamed) and a FRESH veg - maybe, green beans, shallots and shitakes? Pan sauce for the pork is a must!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would share amazing meals with family and friends to open eyes and taste buds. I would continue to create memories through dinner at the table, talking and laughing, trying new things and savoring favorites. This generation needs time at the table. Food brings them there.
