Receive Text UpdatesLeaving home made me realize how much I missed my mother's exceptional cooking. Accustomed to her flavorful dishes, I found it hard to accept the mediocrity of restaurant meals. This longing for her culinary creations ignited my passion for cooking. I began observing her every move in the kitchen, striving to replicate the deep flavors she effortlessly crafted. This experience not only deepened my appreciation for her skills but also inspired me to bring that same warmth to my own cooking.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?My favorite dish to make is a classic Bolognese, as it's been my son's favorite since his toddler days. Now 25, he still requests this dish, which transports him back to our lazy Sundays together as a family. The aroma of fresh herbs would fill every corner of our brownstone, and I can still picture him enjoying his meal with a beaming smile and sauce smeared from ear to ear.
What would you do with the $25,000?If awarded, I would give my restaurant a comprehensive face lift. This would include revitalize my rear garden patio with vibrant floral plants and updating the sidewalk cafe area with new seating and tables, creating a more inviting atmosphere. With any remaining funds, I would take a rejuventing trip back to Jamaica. I wouldn’t mind letting my body soak in some mineral rich ocean water and coming back with a tan.
