Receive Text UpdatesIt was the love and passion for cooking that my mother and grandmother instilled in me at such a young age that truly inspired me to continue cooking. Their presence may be gone, but their legacy lives on through the dishes I create every day. I am grateful for the opportunity to share their love and my own with the world through the food I prepare.
What's your all time favorite dish to make? One of my favorite dishes is meat loaf, cabbage, mac and cheese, and cornbread. This meal was always my go-to comfort food growing up, lovingly made by my mother for me and my siblings. Now, as an adult, I have continued to make this dish because my mother taught me how to make it and it never fails to please everyone who eats it.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were to win the 25000, I would use it to provide financial stability for myself and my siblings. After the loss of our mother, we have all faced challenges and struggled to make ends meet. With this money, I would also fulfill my dream of opening a food truck in honor of my mom, called Lisa's Soul Food Kitchen. This would not only be a tribute to her memory but also a way to give back to the community and share her delicious recipes with others.
