Receive Text UpdatesI started cooking to impress my wife and show my love through food. Once I achieved that, I realized the true power of a well-prepared meal. I don’t cook for money, awards, or recognition—though those have been a nice bonus. I cook to bring joy to others, to see someone’s bad day fade away, even for a moment, as they savor a great meal. My inspiration is to create moments of comfort and connection, where good food brings people together and fills them with warmth.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?What a difficult question. It is difficult to narrow down. I love making so many different dishes, from different types of cuisine. For this, I looked to friends and family and asked their favorite. I got mixed results but one more than others. My version of surf and turf. Starting with a creamy crab bisque. Then I take a Filet Mignon cooked rare, stuffed with seasoned crab, and return to the pan until med-rare. Paired with a twice-baked potato, or potato dauphinoise and a veg. Chefs kiss...
What would you do with the $25,000?We are going to donate a portion of proceeds to a local charity, first. Then we want to start and be a part of something great, something special. I think that money can get us off in the right direction. We have a small catering company and are currently bottling our BBQ Rub, but these are side hustles. My heart and soul are in the kitchen, and that is where I want to be full-time someday.
