Who or what inspires you to cook?

I come from a place where we didn't have much-but we had fire, family, and food. My grandmother's cooking and the dream of building something greater in America keep me going.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

Sweet-glazed pork ribs and Mongolian buuz—soulful flavors from the steppe. Served at Ayan in Redondo Beach, where heritage meets fire.

What would you do with the $25,000?

l'd build a tasting experience that tells the story of my heritage and journey-from the Mongolian borderlands to America-using food, fire, and heart to connect people.
