I'm inspired by my students every day. I am honored to work with a community of individuals that have been through some real-life hard ships. Many are starting over, some are finding their way, and some just need someone to believe in them. I get to go to work each day and help to inspire this community to cook and it inspires me all over again. Watching their resilience, bravery, and devotion to their journey is enough to get me to pick up a spatula and put on my apron each day.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?FRIED. CHICKEN. CUTLETS! I will eat them with a fox, I will eat them in a box. I will eat them here and there, I will eat them everywhere! Pair with a lemony arugula, tomato and parm salad and I am one happy momma!
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning $25,000 would allow me to pay off all of my remaining credit card debt that I've acquired from being a single mom for the last 13 years. My three kids are quickly becoming not kids, (18, 16, and 14) and I'd really like to finally be able to be debt free so I will be able to enjoy these exciting new chapters with them. Having freedom to travel to see them in college one day or be able to create an experience with them without having to juggle a bill would mean the world.
