Who or what inspires you to cook?

My Great Grandfather owned 5 restaurants between Houston and Dallas in the early 1900's and all I can tell you is that cooking is in my blood and my true passion. Late last year, I heard an interview that really inspired me explaining how many people are sitting on their "gift" and to just take the leap, get out of your comfort zone and go for it...which has fueled my side hustle providing curated, culinary experiences!

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

An elevated STEAK dish...can't pick just one, have two that I love to make! The first is called Filet & Friends which is my riff on Surf & Turf, which is pan seared Prime Filet & Grilled Shrimp paired with a Zucchini Goat Cheese Puff Pastry Tart & all covered with a Bourbon Peppercorn Cream Sauce! The second is a Truffle Butter Steak with Cauliflower Puree, Quick Greens & topped with Crispy Beets & Shallots...the perfect blend of flavor profiles & textures!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25k to help buy my own venue where I can create curated culinary experiences with dramatic tasting & pairing menus! Think wine dinners where we set custom event menus paired w/ featured wines to tequila dinners, monthly community supper clubs, corporate dinners, celebration dinners of all kinds, rotating seasonal dinners, theme dinners around milestone events...bottom line, if you want some amazing food paired with fun & unique culinary experiences I want to be your guy!
