Receive Text UpdatesOf course when I was a young girl, both grammas and mom were a great force of inspiration. It was common to cook “from scratch” and I enjoy doing this too! But my greatest inspiration is when I create a meal for my family and “wow” them with flavor. Their smiles say it all and I look forward to repeating that as often as I can!
What's your all time favorite dish to make?This is tough…so many favorites! I’ve worked in different restaurant kitchens and have catered which I have learned so much from. I love stir fry - chicken, beef, or pork. It’s simple, healthy and fresh. Given my nationality, I also love Italian classics. Making homemade pastas, breads, pizza, ice creams, and canning our family generation heirloom grapes and figs, along with our apples are all a constant in my life. My heart is in everything I make!
What would you do with the $25,000?Current ideas would be to put the winnings toward opening a “To Go” eatery offering homemade foods - including vegan and gluten free options- for lunch/dinner as a quick spot for commuters and/or parents transporting their families. The other idea would be to open a small quaint “Creamery” offering home made ice creams and sorbets. Of course there would be a coffee/tea bar!
