Who or what inspires you to cook?

I was blessed to have a number of good cooks in my family growing up. But foremost I LOVE FOOD and the challenge to make something better, or to cure and smoke my own bacon and ham. Trying many old school ways of cooking to bring back some of those unique items we all ate growing up. Also inspired by the special dietary needs of my daughter in law. The challenge to make an entire holiday dinner gluten/ celiac friendly that no one else at the table realizes they are eating a special diet. JOY

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

Not sure if I can pick one. My kids would say my Chili Colorado, or my pecan tarts. Home cured and smoked salmon tacos with mango salsa is up there on my list. Then I love to bake and decorate cakes with specialty frostings. So many foods I love from complicated to simply good and simple. Shrimp tacos with cilantro cream sauce is another. Homemade puff pastry to cream puffs to basque cake. All amazing. To homemade bonbons (customized) and toffee. Carmel corn and cheese corn.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would love to either start small catering or baking business. Or s specialty store with cooking classes..
