My love of food and cooking comes from growing up in the kitchen with my mother who is an amazing home cook and inspired my becoming a chef. For me, the magic of food is as much about the human connection, creating memories or rediscovering smells & flavors that take you back to your childhood. Enjoying camaraderie and friendship around the table is what inspires me to be the best chef I can be!
What's your all time favorite dish to make?I am extremely passionate about great food, wine, family and life in general, and am consummate professional who designs foods that feed the eye as well as the palate. My vision of modern Florida and Latino-Floribbean cuisine blends Cuban, Puerto Rican, Columbian, Jamaican, Bahamian, and American Deep South & Gulf Coast cuisines. It’s difficult to narrow it down to one dish!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use some of the money to help revamp our little neighborhood cafe which is adored by locals and traveling foodies as we approach our ten year anniversary. I would also take my mother on her dream food tour of Spain & Portugal!
