I am inspired by my family and by my location. We don't live in an area where there are many options to dine out so if I want to eat something other than basic food, I have to be the one to make it. I've never had butter chicken in an Indian restaurant for example, but my family LOVES my version. Food is my love language, and since I was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer I’ve been teaching my kids how to cook some of my favorite recipes; making both great food and wonderful memories.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?My favorite dish to make is either butter chicken with naan or lasagna with fresh pasta, three cheeses, and Italian spicy sausage.
What would you do with the $25,000?I have a very small kitchen in a house that was started in 1781 so I would renovate my kitchen by expanding the footprint and putting in more closed cabinets. Right now, most of my tools and toys are on open shelves or in my "island" (which is really a restaurant-grade stainless steel work table with extra shelves underneath).
