Who or what inspires you to cook?

My family is what inspires me most. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my parent’s support and I wouldn’t be the man I am today without the love of my 2 kids. They inspire me to be the best version of myself and both said that they would like to follow my journey and become chefs as well.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

I LOVE making curries or molés. Anything with a lot of fragrant ingredients. I would say that fillings are also my favorite thing to make. Running an empanada restaurant has allowed me to explore all different types of flavors over the years. I can turn any dish into an empanada!!! Ex. I’ve made all the following into empanadas: Gormeh Sabzi, chile relleno, matambre, biscuits and gravy, birria with consomé, ropa vieja, Bbq pulled pork, corned beef and hash, scalloped potatoes

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest part of the money into my family’s empanada restaurant and the other between my kids and my parents and take a much needed vacation!!!
