Who is your culinary inspiration?I come from a southern Cajun family. Ny dads side is from Louisiana and my moms is from Texas. I grew up with a whole family who knows how to cook. At family gatherings it’s hard to even decide where to start because everyone can throw down in the kitchen. My mother Rhonda is who I learned all my cooking fundamentals from and a lot of shortcuts! Rhonda Ruth learned from her mother Bernice who prepared many a Sunday meals. Family inspires me and I hope I do the same for them and my kids.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would definitely use some of it to pour a little into our town culinary program at the high school because kids are the future of our generation. I would also use as much as I can to help fund my new Healthy meal prep business. I’d love to find a plot of land, business, or food truck to further my Savage Supper club business. The only limits we place are on ourself and I love to put myself in places I never thought I belonged and thrive.
