Receive Text UpdatesCooking started as a survival skill during my times of homelessness and food insecurity. Now, serving pork belly tacos and basil ice cream brings me joy. With dyslexia, ADHD, and complex PTSD, I often felt like an outsider, but cooking has given me a sense of belonging.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits with sausage mushroom gravy. Topped with a fried egg and chives.
What would you do with the $25,000?I have been homeless and have experienced food insecurity in the past. I now share an abundance of love and joy through food. I would use the funds to learn more about cooking techniques, and to continue to support up and coming LGBTQ and BIPOC chefs. I am motivated by joy, not money.
