I started cooking and baking early in my teenage years. When I had no idea what to do after high school I decided to attend a two-year associate degree program in Hospitality and Culinary Arts. I've since built a career in adjacent meetings and trade show industry, but I've never stopped loving food and the process of creating it.
If I had to be honest, my specialty is comfort food. I love slow food that take a long time to make but are hearty and filled with warmth and love. I also love a good challenge, meaning that whenever I meet someone with food aversions, I would make it a personal goal to make something they absolutely love.
My favorite thing about creating food is being able to feed and nourish others. I would love to continue doing this by donating to local community organizations that help alleviate food scarcity. I would also love to move to a home with a bigger kitchen that will help me create more online content around food. Last but not least, the winnings will also help my husband and I to pay down current student loan debts.
