Advanced into the Top 10
My charity teaches American families how to cook and reconnect. We feed foster kids and struggling families. 80% of winning goes to charity.
I have been cooking since I was 10 years of age. My family lived on a large farm where we grew all our food. Cooking and baking was my contribution to the family's work load. During the summer months we would feed 20 -30 people daily. To this day, I still cook every day. In addition I teach free cooking classes to underprivileged families and prepare free ready to serve meals for former foster children, single struggling moms, and cancer patients.
I am most known for my handmade phyllo-dough strudels. Personally, I like fusing different cuisines like Mediterranean, Latin, Middle-Eastern and Asian cuisine. Flavors are like colors. It's fun playing with them. I am also a big fan of passing old recipes and ways of preparing and preserving food onto new generations....Fire roasted pepper 'caviar' is also one of my signature dishes.
80% of winnings will be donated to provide 'ready to serve' meals to former foster youth, cancer patients, and to organize cooking classes for single struggling moms and their children...With the prize increase to $50,000 I would also be able to build a community garden. You can find our more about these programs at: https://vladaseedsoflife.com 20% will go toward my two children. I owe them a special family vacation I been promising even since their father passed away.
