How long have you been cooking?

Since I was 13. When my mom noticed my raw talent for cooking, she paid me $5.00 to prepare a meal for my family. This is when I learned that I could follow my passion AND get paid for it. I’ve been cooking ever since, and continue to learn and grow my culinary skills each day.

What is your signature dish?

My rack of lamb with a pistachio Dijon garlic rosemary crust, garlic confit, garlic mashed potatoes, and a morel black truffle wine reduction.

What will you do with the $50,000?

When I win the $20,000, I want to help sponsor local culinary students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue a culinary education. By investing in our local youth, we are helping to develop future Favorite Chefs.
