Winning this is not about the money but highlighting my country's mouthwatering and un discovered Trinbagonian Food.
At the age 8 I dabbled in the kitchen but at the age of 12 when I got into cooking classes in high school and fell in love with it. Cooking and teaching comes very natural to me and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.
My signature dish is my Pastelle Pasta Casserole. I came up with this to mimic our favourite Christmas snack , Pastelles which is similar to a tamale. I have also been dubbed the Barfi Queen in Trinidad and Tobago as I take everyday desserts and turn it into this milk dessert which is flavoured with cardamom and ginger.
I would like to publish my very first Trinbagonian Comfort Food cookbook to share my food and culture of Trinidad and Tobago with the rest of the world. I need everyone to experience the variety of our food because we are a multicultural nation. My 200K plus Subscribers on YouTube and 1 Million plus on my Facebook page are all eager to get their hands on my cookbook. So this will definitely be a huge help towards this coming to fruition.
