How long have you been cooking?

I have been cooking in the kitchen since I was a little girl with my grandma pinching pierogies. I have also been self-taught home cook since my daughter was born in 2009. I have been cooking vegan for over 2 years now and recently graduated from the Rouxbe college of culinary arts with the professional plant-based cooking course as well as the forks of the knives cooking course. I also had the opportunity of being able to release my first cookbook through freisenpress called Vegan Family Style.

What is your signature dish?

My signature dish would be my polish families vegan pierogies with cashew cheese filling hand made pasta and homemade sour cream with stuffed cabbage rolls filled with mushroom and walnut meat base a red wine balsamic reduction sauce and a parsley oil as well as cucumber salad with alfalfa sprouts on the side. I would also include a dessert which is my family specialty of Christmas cinnamon rice pudding with rum soaked raisins and pepparkakor cookies for garnish.

What will you do with the $50,000?

Start a food truck called "Vegan Family Style." Start working on a second cookbook. Set up classes at schools to teach kids how to cook.
