How long have you been cooking?

I’ve been professionally cooking for 5 years but i originally had interest in cooking since i was 5 years old, watching cooking tutorials and cooked my first dish at 8 years old which is just onion rings but my family loved it and supports me about my dream of becoming a chef.

What is your signature dish?

I have a family recipe of adobo, which is a very popular filipino dish that is pork traditionally cooked in garlic, soy sauce and vinegar, but my family has a recipe that consist of different ingredients. Also shown in the photo, this grouper with creamy alla pescatore rissoto! Since i worked here in the USA i would run this as a special in the restaurant that i work at every now and then and our guests actually loved it!

What will you do with the $50,000?

I would use the money to go back home to the philippines to visit my family and start up a little food business, i honestly think that even without the money prize, if i win this contest i will make my friends and family really proud!
