I would use the winnings to donate to local restaurant families in the Oklahoma community that have been struggling during COVID-19.
I have been cooking since I could reach the stove! Over two decades of cooking. My journey began in the kitchen of my Mexican grandfather, which led me to culinary school, then growing the restaurant scene in Oklahoma, and working as a chef in Spain and Italy. Currently I am Culinary Innovation Manager at Sonic-Drive In.
Who’s asking?! My Italian husband would say it’s Spaghetti with Clams, the sauce is buttery and light and even those who never thought they would eat clams love it! If you’re asking the Mexican side of my family (a hungry crowd!), it’s Huevos Rancheros. If you’re asking the American crowd, it’s Sonic’s new Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger.
I will donate half to restaurants that are in need to help their family business with bills, overhead costs, and labor costs. I have been blessed by the local restaurant community and I can think of no better way to give back. I will feature the restaurants during the competition.
