I want to win to demonstrate how cooking has led me from a place of darkness to a life of purpose doing what I love.
I started cooking at age 17, working in a Specialty food store. I began working making pizza, fresh pasta and baking bread.
I don’t have a signature dish. This is actually one of my least favorite questions to be asked. I cook based on what is fresh and available to me. Seasonality and quality ingredients inform my creativity and inspire my approach as far as cuisine and technique.
Since getting sober in 2015 it has been a dream of mine to start a 501c3 to teach addicts in early recovery basic cooking skills that will allow them to be employable.
